I have some time as I'm in-between jobs and I started cleaning out my stuff, including my online repositories and emails. And this led mo to a nostalgic trip down the old fanfics I used to read and the fandoms I used to follow. I'm happy to have found so many of my favorite authors on AO3 or at least still have a functioning website. So much beloved fanfic to reread, so little time.

I love the whole gang but these 2 are my favorite characters. Gen or slash with this pairing are both great. It could be something set post-competition, or dealing more into Seiya and Minato's childhood.

He's very good at knowing what makes his flatmates tick, but also like how passionate he is about running. I want to learn more about both him and Kurahara. Kurahara looks like Kageyama Tobio (another character I love) but with a different personality. I'd like to know more about him. Is he a gambling addict? Will this give them problems in the future? How did his experience in high school shape him?
For this fandom, I would prefer not to read alternate universes. I love the setting and the characters as they are. I would love to see more of their practice, or anything that would be about their future post whatever canon is available. I'm not sure how I feel about the season 3 ending, so feel free to ignore it :). I would like to read a relatively happy fic with these two ending up together, but something bittersweet would also work as it fits the tone of the show more. Feel free to explore their past or more of their future. Will they ever get out of this life? I would just really love more fic about these two. I don't like reading about rape, but dub con or various forms of under-negotiated kink works for this couple. But don't feel that it has to be R/NC-17 rated. I'd also read fic about these two surfing.
Curtain!fic would also be interesting to read for these two. What's their version of domesticity?

Tezuka Shinobu, Ikeda Mitsuru
Haven't read or watched Here is Greenwood in some time, but I still remember loving it way back when. My favorite character is Tezuka with Mitsuru a close second. The banter/friendship/relationship between these two was funny. Feel free to slash them or keep it gen. The canon het relationship between Hasukawa and Igrashi is fine, though would like the focus on Tezuka and Mitsuru. I'd love to read about their further school life adventures or something post-canon: university or even after that. How does Tezuka deal with his family after graduation? Does Mitsuru ever start to feel that he belongs in his own family? Will Tezuka end up ruling the world?

Copying this over from last year: I really liked the ending of this movie and would have loved to see more. So really, anything post-canon would be great. During canon, what are the missing scenes you would have loved to see? Keep it G/PG-rated or R/NC-17, will read all of it :).
So few gay movies that have a happy ending where the couple stay/end up together that I keep this close to my heart :). I would just love anything with these two that keep it happy.

Usagi Drop | Bunny Drop
This is a hilarious, over-the-top, crazy manga. Write something in the same vein or something more serious. The art is hit-or-miss for me sometimes but I really like these two together.
This is one of the first slash movies that I ever saw with a happy ending. Previous to that, slash movies I had watched had tragic/sad endings. This is one of the reasons I love this movie so much. I love the whole East meets West thing Omar and Johnny have. You can play off that more. Or maybe curtain fic (or washer fic for them). It doesn't have to be a serious fic as well, it can also be light-hearted, similar to the ending. I just love this movie and these two together.
Another slash movie with a happy ending. Though I've noticed more and more of these recently. I like the storyline of two relatively straight guys falling in love with each other. It's one of my favorite slash tropes. I also like the relationships they have with their friends (romantic and otherwise). Including any of their friends (including exes) would be great.

I like reincarnation stories and this one is epic. Anime or manga, I'm not fussy. I would prefer slash between Jinpachi and Issei or gen. Canon het can be included, though I would like Jinpachi and Issei to end up together. It can be future-fic or past timeline fic or current timeline (before the manga epilogue) with Jinpachi and Issei as teenagers. Explore their relationship and how their memories of their past lives affect them today. Or maybe a fic on how they've gotten over the past and living their current lives to the fullest. I would prefer a happy ending but an ambiguous ending is fine as well for this fandom. I would like to avoid a sad or tragic story though as their past lives canon is sad enough.

Kawachi Daikichi / Kaga Rin
I have few exceptions where I actually like het and this is one of them. I also love the canon het pairing which isn't the popular choice amongst those who read this series. I would love to read het or gen for this fandom.
Gen fic when Rin was younger would be great. Explore some of the other holidays or just how Daikichi and Rin interact with the others. Maybe something with Rin's friends.
Het fic when Rin is older would also be lovely. Maybe something set between the time Rin confesses and Daikichi returns her feelings. How does Daikichi's family handle the news that he's marrying Rin? Or something from Daikichi's POV, how does he fall in love with Rin? Or something post-canon. Maybe Rin and Daikichi as parents.
Happy ending all the way though, please, as this is a cute series and I would prefer to read something in a similar vein to the series.
I love Daikichi and I love Rin. I love them separately and I love them together. So really, any story with the two of them in a similar vein to the anime or mange, I will love.

This is a hard series to find in English but I loved what I remember of it. Also one of my few het exceptions as I love Megumi and Genzo together. Canon het or gen would be great for this series. On the gen side, you can explore Megumi's relationship with her friends, especially her best friend. Or what about some other adventures and/or other fights? Or maybe something set post-canon with Genzo and Megumi ending up together. If slash is more your thing though, what if Megumi was really born a boy and turns back into a boy? Would Genzo still fall in love with the boy Megumi?

Watched it the second time with my friend. Initial reactions here. Additional comments below:
- Forgot about the harpoon - Why is Sherlock covered in blood still sexy?
- Manic!Sherlock going through nicotine withdrawal was funny and John's faces were the best :)
- Sherlock's the one driving - compare this with the movie where Watson is the one usually driving
- John and Sherlock being mistaken for lovers AND the bartender and his chef boyfriend
- John picking up on Sherlock's cues - they've done this before
- Did Franklin fake the paw prints or did Fletcher do it?
- "Mycroft's name literally opens doors"
- What makes John stay with Sherlock despite everything (being experimented on? getting insulted? etc)? My friend says it's because John is comfortable with his situation. What I think about this requires loads of fic :)
- John getting cockblocked by Franklin.
- Was Franklin playing with Henry (in Henry's house) or was that still the aftereffects of the drug?
- Sherlock is really bad at apologizing (I think I've read this in a fic :D)
- Sherlock doesn't know Lestrade's first name but John does
- MYSTRADE!
- I thought John should have realized that there was something in the coffee
- Lestrade looks good in casual clothes
- Martin Freeman in that scene in the lab was amazing!

I wish I had started watching The Sing-off season 3 earlier as I would have added this to my Yuletide nominations and requests.
Started watching The Sing-Off not because of them though, but because of the YellowJackets from the University of Rochester. They did a remake of Taylor Swift's video You Belong To Me but since they're an all-male group, instead of girl wants boy, it became boy wants boy and it's glorious! Will do another post about that.
But going back to the Aires, these are my favorites:
1. This is pre-Sing-off. According to the description on the video: The Dartmouth Aires sing "All the Above" by Maino ft. T-Pain at Winter Whingding 2010. Soloists are Michael "Nemo" Odokara-Okigbo and Henry "Tyco" Luehrman.
2. Sing-off performance 5: Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida. Ignore the description. I don't think the uploader likes the Aires.
First two have some similarities, including the soloists. I could listen to these two over and over and over again.
3. Sing-off performance 6: Queen medley which is amazing! Again, ignore the description :).
I have loved all their performances so far and hope they win! The chemistry and group dynamics between them is also amazing to see. Makes me want to be an Aire too, even though I'm entirely the wrong gender!

Thomás / Francisco
You can write me anything about these two and I'll be happy. I would love anything from scenes set during their childhood to a future fic. You can keep it light (as the movie doesn't really tackle the ramifications of sibling incest) or make it darker (and more realistic, tackling sibling incest and how it affects the others around them). Do they ever come out to Thomas' father? Do they ever come out to their friends? Or maybe they decide to migrate to some other country where they can pretend they're not brothers? Or something when they were kids. How worried was Pedro about the relationship between the two? How worried was Julieta? Or just more fluffy scenes set when they were younger :). Or write more about how they got into a relationship with each other. What was Thomás thinking? Francisco? G to NC-17, your choice. Though, if you write about their childhood, please keep it G-rated :).
Before Supernatural and Numb3rs, incest was one of my squicks. But, fanfic has a way of changing your mind. So when I heard there would be a mainstream (though not American or British) movie with incest as the theme, I became very interested. I saw the stills from the movie as well as the trailer before it was released. I wanted to see how they would tackle the thorny issue on incest. The movie didn't quite deliver on that but I loved the first part (with Thomás and Francisco's childhood). As an escapist movie, this works as it has a happy ending. As someone who generally wants films that are realistic though, this didn't work. However, don't feel pressured to make a fic that deals with the issues inherent in an incestuous relationship. A happy, escapist fic would also be fine with me.

Victor/Maxi
I would prefer to read future fic. Do Maxi and Victor end up together despite what Victor did? If they do, how are they able to deal with it? If not, is Maxi happy (I hope the answer is yes :))? Is Victor? While watching the first part of the movie, I thought Maxi and Victor would end up together in the future but Victor's actions made it impossible for me to think that their relationship would end up happily. If you're able to figure out how to do this, I will love you forever :). But, this isn't required and I'd be happy however the story takes you. Reading even one fic set in this movie would make me ecstatic :).
Though I prefer future-fic, if that doesn't inspire you, please don't fret :). I'll also be happy with a fic set before the movie (why are Maxi's relatives fine with him the way he is given that Pinoy men in their situation are usually macho and homophobic?) or set during the movie (more scenes with Maxi interacting with the other characters would also be nice).
Any rating from G to NC-17 is fine. No preferences here.

I had issues with the writing (there were certain areas that could have used a heavier red pen) and the way it was shot, but I did enjoy the story and the acting, especially by the actor who played Maxi, was really good. If you haven't seen this yet, I hope you try to watch it even if you're writing fic for the other two movies instead.

Rag Tag (2006)
Raymond/Tagbo
I really would love anything in this fandom. Anywhere from pre-movie to during the movie to post-movie would be fine. Some ideas (or questions) though: Set pre-movie or in the earlier parts of the movie: How did Raymond and Tagbo end up friends? How'd Raymond get his nickname? What was Raymond's home life like before he was sent away? How did both deal with living away from each other? I would also love to read future fic. Did Tagbo's parents ever accept their relationship? How is their relationship with Olivia (who's an amazing woman)? Is Raymond able to find legal work? What are the myriad of difficulties with being POCs in London, as well as POCs from different backgrounds in a same-sex relationship? How do they handle these difficulties?
Any rating from G to NC-17 is fine.
I loved this movie as this dealt with POCs and homosexuality and still had a happy ending. It's obviously a low-budget movie and there were some scenes that made me cringe with regards to the acting but I enjoyed it and still watch it (especially the ending) again especially when I need a pick-me-up.

American Idol S10
Apr. 11th, 2011 11:24 pm Only started watching S10 recently as I was bored with AI. I'm not a fan of country, but I have to say, the contestant I enjoy watching the most is Scotty. Go figure. I like Haley too. I kind of like James Durbin, but he reminds me of Adam Lambert and I prefer Adam over him.
